GUAC OFF PRESENTED BY CHOSEN FOODS

Do you have the BEST guacamole in San Diego? If so, you can win a $100 Gift card to Not Not Tacos plus (1) Year Supply of Chosen Foods Products.
How to Enter:
You must fill out the form below in full and submit your Guacamole recipe no later than 5:00 p.m. May 8, 2019.
Five contestants will be hand selected by Chosen Foods and SoCal Taco Fest to participate.
Selections will be made based on your recipe and the creativity of its name.
You will receive notification if you have been chosen no later than 5:00 p.m. May 12th, 2019.
Contestants will receive 2 complimentary tickets to SoCal Taco Fest
All contestants must be 21 years of age or older.
Prizes:
1st Prize – $100 Gift card to Not Not Tacos plus (1) Year Supply of Chosen Foods Products, award
2nd Prize – Entire line of Chosen Foods Products plus $50 gift card to Not Not Tacos
3rd Prize – Entire line of Chosen Foods products
Judging Criteria:
You are required to prepare and serve one “taste” size portion (roughly ⅛ cup), accompanied by the provided chips, for each judge. There will be three judges in total.
Judges will score each dish based on taste, creativity and visual appeal. These criteria are worth 10 points each for a total of 30 available points which will be tallied to determine your score.
The contestant with the highest score will win the competition and be awarded the grand prize. The judges will also choose 2nd and 3rd place winners and they will receive one consolation prize each.
In the case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the head judge
All decisions are final and at the discretion of the judges.
This is a fun-spirited competition that should be taken lightly. So, come ready to bring your skills and have a good time!
Rules:
SoCal Taco Fest will provide the following ingredients and equipment to be used to prepare and serve your guacamole:
– 5 Avocados, 2 Limes, 1 White Onion, 1 Red Onion, 2 Roma
Tomatoes, Cilantro, Garlic, Chips, Salt and Pepper
– Bowl, Knife, Fork, Spoon, Cutting Surface, Food Prep
Gloves, Food Boats for submitting your creation to the the
judges and napkins
You are allowed to bring up to 5 additional food ingredients (inclusive of spices) to personalize your guac creation. They may be prepped in advance for ease of assembly on site at the festival.
You are not allowed to bring any kitchen equipment or utensils. No cooking equipment (stove/oven/etc.) will be available.
You will have 15 minutes to make your Guacamole – If you do not finish your plated submission within the time allotment, you will be docked 5 points on your final score.
